After Hurricane Fiona, Ocean Legacy received funding through Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Ghost Gear Fund to expand marine plastic collection and processing in Atlantic Canada, including rope shredding and baling capacity in Nova Scotia.
That work is done with partners including Coastal Action, Scotia Recycling and Full Circle Plastics, which makes lumber products from material collected during cleanups.
